Update: K9 Search Called Off for Two Armed Robbery Suspects in Bonney Lake

Police searched the wooded area behind Safeway for two male suspects Tuesday night, after two suspects allegedly committed a robbery with a machete.

This appears to be a possible drug deal gone bad and not a random act of violence. No immediate concern to public safety.

Sheriff, police and K9 units are actively searching for two suspects in the wooded area behind the Bonney Lake Safeway after a robbery with a machete occurred in that area, according to Bonney Lake Police.

One victim is currently being treated for a hand laceration and possible broken arm. The motive is unknown.

Two suspects are currently at large, and are described as white males, approximately 18 years old. One has blond hair, wearing red and white Nike shoes. The other suspect has brown hair, and is said to be wearing grey basketball shorts and long earrings.

If you see these two men, police urge you to call 9-11 and do not attempt to apprehend them.
