*Update* K9 search suspended. Investigation is on going. This does not appear to be a random attack and officers are following various leads.

Investigation will continue throughout the night. We'll continue to update any new information as it surfaces.

This appears to be a possible drug deal gone bad and not a random act of violence. No immediate concern to public safety.

Sheriff, police and K9 units are actively searching for two suspects in the wooded area behind the Bonney Lake Safeway after a robbery with a machete occurred in that area, according to Bonney Lake Police.

One victim is currently being treated for a hand laceration and possible broken arm. The motive is unknown.
