Bonney Lake Police officers arrested a 27-year-old man Tuesday evening following a high-speed chase that began in the cityΒ and ended in the city of Buckley.

Several citizens reported the vehicle was speeding at about 90 mph in the area of the 18900 block of 111th Street East at 6:30 p.m. and spinning donuts in the roadway.

Officers located the white Saturn station wagon on the 10100 block of 200th Avenue East but it fled attempts at a traffic stop, instead continued at that high speed, running traffic lights and driving about 20 miles into the city of Buckley where it lost control attempting to negotiate a turn on State Route 162 near Orville Road East.

The driver sustained minor injury from the collision and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where he remained in police custody.

No officers were hurt in the incident. It remained unclear why he was driving recklessly in the first place and the incident is under investigation.
