Bonney Lake Police Blotter: Power Cut at Bonney Lake Coffee, Weapons in Forest

Marijuana Possession in Regal Cinema Parking Lot
An officer was driving through the Regal Cinema parking lot to check on a reckless vehicle. As he drove through the lot, he passed a parked Subaru with two people inside who were frantically moving around as he drove by, as if they were hiding something.
The man and woman in the car, both 20, told the officer they were waiting for a movie. The officer could see a smoky haze emanating from the car and smelled marijuana. They admitted to smoking most of the marijuana that they had but handed over what was left to the officer, in addition to their glass pipe.

Both were charged with possession of marijuana.

An officer observed a gray Honda speeding east on SR 410 and drifting in and out of the lane. The officer activated his police lights but the car wouldnβt immediately pull over and continued to drift in and out of the roadway for a mile before stopping by Panda Express.
The 31 year-old female driver smelled of intoxicants and admitted to drinking alcohol in Tacoma. She failed a field sobriety test and blew a .092 on the breath test. She also had a suspended license. She was cited with DUI and driving with a suspended license. She also got a speeding ticket and was cited for driving without insurance.
Malicious Mischief at Bonney Lake Coffee
Police were dispatched to Bonney Lake Coffee for a report of malicious mischief. Someone cut the power to the business. The electrical meter had been disconnect and was found on the ground outside.
There appeared to be a mark on the door where a suspect could have broken in.
Puget Sound Energy reconnected the power and there was no damage to the meter. There are no suspects at this time.
Weapon Possession in WAZZU Forest
Officers responded to the Washington State University Forest behind Safeway for a report of a possible weapons violation. A female called 911 to report that she was walking her dog in the area and observed a man shooting what appeared to be a rifle.
Police detained the suspect and located a BB gun leaning on a tree nearby. He told officer he was practicing shooting his BB gun.
Due to the fact that he was shooting a gun in a heavily walked public area, officers cited the man with discharging a dangerous weapon in city limits.
