June 17

DUI

10:41pm: A Bonney Lake sergeant was working as off-duty security detail at Regal Cinema when he noticed a Mustang driving recklessly in the Regal parking lot, near Sushiland. Two witnesses said they observed the vehicle recklessly spinning its tires on two separate occasions. They stated that the vehicle slid into a parking space near the Midtown Grill and nearly struck a parked Hummer nearby. Witnesses saw the driver and passenger exit the vehicle, enter Midtown Grill and immediately exit. The witnesses watched the two of them get in the car and begin doing donuts in the parking lot again.

The parking lot was nearly full of parked cars and the area was extremely busy. When the sergeant contacted the driver, he immediately smelled a strong odor of intoxicants and his eyes were bloodshot and watery. The 37 year-old driver told police he was showing his female passenger how to use a clutch when the clutch slipped and his foot got stuck on the gas peddle, inadvertently spinning out his tires. He admitted to drinking one margarita but felt that he could get home safely.

The man was arrested for DUI and blew a .092 BAC.

June 21

Warrant Arrest

11:30pm: An officer was on patrol in the Regal Cinema parking lot and saw two females walk out of the city park directly behind the cinema and recognized one of them from previous arrests and contacts. She had several outstanding warrants. Once she noticed the officer, the girl began running away and ran toward Babalouie’s. The officer caught up with her and told her she was being detained, but she got very combative. It appeared she was high on narcotics and began yelling profanities at the officer. She struggled against the officer and fought detainment.

She was arrested for warrants out of Puyallup, Aberdeen and Olympia.
