Theft from Motor Vehicle at Bonney Lake High School

7:11pm: An officer responded to Bonney Lake High School in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle. He contacted the woman, who said her car was broken into and her purse was stolen. The rear passenger door window had been smashed out, but it did not appear the suspect entered the vehicle, rather, they reached in and grabbed her purse out. She had three credit cards and other identifying properties in her purse. The woman was given a case number, but there was no visible evidence and security was not on scene because the school was closed for the weekend.

DUI

12:02am: An officer was traveling down Main St. in the 9000 block approaching SR 410 E when he noticed a red Pontiac Coupe waiting for the stop light to turn green. When the light changed, the car accelerated very quckly, making its tires spin with a large screeching noise. The car fishtailed and its tail end swung left and right momentarily until the tires caught traction and the car rapidly accelerated across 410 and up Sky Island Drive E. When the officer asked the man why he peeled out, the man said his "tires slipped a bit." He admitted to drinking two vodka crans at the Bonney Lake Tavern. The man refused to submit to a breath test and was booked for DUI.
