Bonney Lake Police Blotter, March 19 - 30

A party involving alcohol and minors, illegal dumping and malicious mischief are highlighted in this week's blotter from Bonney Lake.

March 19

Underage Drinking, Furnishing Minors with Alcohol

9pm: Officers in the Party Intervention Patrol were patrolling Bonney Lake when they noticed several parked cars in the area of Panorama Blvd. and Angeline Road. They noticed several young men standing on the house balcony and an older woman outside smoking a cigarette. The officers knocked on the door and a 21 year-old man answered, who said he lived there with his mom. She gave the police permission to come inside and make sure there was no underage drinking on the premises.

Once inside, the police saw seven people including two females, one of whom was pregnant, in the house. There were two tables set up with several beer cans around the room, and red ‘keg’ cups used to play beer pong. All except the pregnant female said they were over 21 years old. The officers checked all the names through dispatch, and two of the men had several unconfirmed warrants in multiple places. One of the men with the warrants had bloodshot eyes and appeared intoxicated. He was 20 years old and his BAC was .129. The officers talked to the woman, who said she had known all of the people there all her life but didn’t realize that some of them were underage. She was cited for furnishing alcohol to minors and the two men who were underage were cited and booked for MIP, providing false information and having IDs that did not belong to them.

Malicious Mischief

7:30am: Officers were dispatched to a residence on 217th Ct. E. for disorderly conduct. The 20 year-old woman who called police told them she was calling from work but got a text message from her 24 year-old husband, who said he was burning her clothes on the porch in a burn barrel. He also posted on Facebook that he was going to burn her clothes. She said he believes she is cheating on him and that’s why he’s angry with her.

The husband told police that he was reviewing Facebook when he saw his wife left a vulgar comment to another male. Enraged, he walked outside to the BBQ with a duffel bag and lit it on fire. His sister-in-law was there at the time and she said she quickly put out the fire but that items inside the bag, like kids clothing and baby diapers, were partially burned and melted.

Police followed up with the woman who said she is pregnant and that her husband had cheated on her multiple times. They agreed to an ‘open relationship’ and she recently met someone on Facebook who is interested in her. She said her husband is jealous and upset. After officers left to type up a report, the woman called police again and said that her husband was now cutting up her clothes. They arrived back to the residence and arrested the man for malicious mischief and was issued a no-contact order with his estranged wife.

Illegal Dumping

3:26pm: A woman called police to report illegal use of dumpsters at an apartment on 194th Ave. E. She said she witnessed a white four-door vehicle back up to the dumpsters and watched a woman dump garbage there – the vehicle and woman did not belong there. The surveillance tape showed the woman get out of the car, throw away some garbage in the dumpster and take off. The video was placed in evidence, but the woman was not able to be described from the tape.
