He said $300 was missing from a kitchen drawer, along with a TV from his bedroom, some women’s jewelry, four of his suits, ski equipment and two laptops, among other things. He also noticed the toilet seat was up and remembered specifically leaving it down when he left. The officer noticed that the man was very particular with his property – everything was organized and labeled. There were no footprints or signs of forced entry.

He said he had no enemies, multiple copies of his keys or any reason to suspect anyone he knows. Officers gave the man a case number and stolen property inventory sheet.

Sept. 22

Drug Paraphernalia, Pills at Bonney Lake High School

2pm: A small red, white and blue marijuana pipe was turned in to the Bonney Lake High School office, along with 10 Ritalin pills. No one knew where the drugs or paraphernalia came from.

Sept. 24

Sexually explicit messages

11:40am: A woman and her husband, who live on the 8000 block of Locust Ave., called police to report telephone harassment. The woman said she had received several sexually explicit videos on her cell phone from the subject who lives in an apartment directly below hers.

The woman said the man is in a wheelchair and is paralyzed from the waist down. She said he has mental disabilities but wasn’t sure to what degree, but he acts “odd” and makes the other apartment complex residents feel uncomfortable.

A few days prior, the man had asked her to call his cell phone, because he lost it somewhere in his apartment and couldn’t find it. The next day, the woman received a text message of an erect penis from the man’s cell phone number. The day after, she received two videos from the number showing the man masturbating. She could not see his face, but believed it was the man.

The woman called her cell phone company to have the number blocked from contacting her again, and officers tried to contact him, but he wasn’t home. The woman asked that he not be allowed to communicate with her again.

A records check on the man showed that he was a Blood gang member and had assaulted two of his female caregivers in 2009. No other history on the man was available.

Home burglary

7:24pm: An officer was dispatched to a burglary complaint at a residence on the 7000 block of Locust Ave. E. The victim said she left her residence that morning and returned a half hour prior to calling police and found her entry closet doors wide open. She noticed another closet in the hallway was open and that everything had been rifled through in her bedroom. She noticed that her husband’s ladder was leaning against her bedroom window, which she had left open. The front door had remained locked.

She could not find anything of substantial value missing, but she was missing a shoebox full of change, an entire drawer of miscellaneous “junk,” some computer discs and a plastic laundry basket.

Police couldn’t find any suspect fingerprints at the scene and the woman was provided with a theft inventory sheet and a case number.

Sept. 27

Warrant arrest, possession of methamphetamine and dangerous weapon

3:15am: An officer was on routine patrol when he observed a grey Mini Cooper make a right turn from southbound 214th Ave. E. to westbound South Prairie Rd. The vehicle made the turn at a high rate of speed and was honking its horn continually while doing so. As soon as the officer began following the vehicle, the Mini Cooper began to accelerate and did not slow down, instead turning off its headlights and turning down 208th Ave. E. The officer found the vehicle and spotted three women in the blacked out vehicle on the side of the road.

The 39 year-old female driver immediately told police she had warrants out of her arrest. She had a warrant out of Puyallup for theft and two felony warrants out of Pierce County for unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. She was placed under arrest.

The vehicle was full of bicycle parts and clothing. The front passenger said she was helping her friend move, that’s why the car was so full of property. The passenger in the backseat also had warrants for her arrest, and police located a butterfly knife in her back jeans pocket. The knife could be ejected by force of gravity, or by an outward, downward or thrusting movement – a dangerous weapon. The officer also found a small plastic baggie in her front jeans pocket that contained methamphetamine.

The front passenger was released and the other two women were transported to the appropriate agencies for their warrants. The backseat passenger was cited for possession of a dangerous weapon and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
