Bonney Lake Police Blotter, Sept. 21 - Oct. 3

Sept. 21

Suspicious persons, no-contact order

7:30pm: Officers were dispatched to the liquor store for suspicious suspects attempting to purchase alcohol without ID and trying to get other people to buy it for them. Police located the four suspects walking eastbound on SR 410 near Albertsons and tried to get their attention, but the group did not acknowledge them. The officer got out of his car and yelled “stop, police” and the group continued on as if nothing happened. The officer caught up with the group and asked if they’d been to the liquor store, they said they had been there to buy some alcohol, but didn’t have their IDS. Dispatch ran their names and came back with a no-contact order against one of the men, filed by the woman who was in the group.

Police placed the man under arrest for violating the no contact order, and found a new bag of empty needles in the man’s front shirt pocket and an empty capped needle in his pants pocket. The man told police he did not know he had a no contact order against the woman and that she just walked up – he didn’t have a chance to leave. The man was arrested for violating the no-contact order and refused to answer questions about the needles or speak to the officer.

Malicious Mischief

10:02pm: Officers responded to a residence on the 10000 block of 183rd Ave. E. for a residential alarm. Upon arrival officers discovered a broken bedroom window and what appeared to be multiple broken water balloons on the side of the residence. No one was home and it didn’t appear that anything was stolen and the homeowner reported nothing was missing.

Oct. 1

Disorderly Conduct

10:30pm: Officers responded to 11005 Angeline Rd. E. in reference to a truck in a ditch. Officers contacted a man at the scene who smelled of alcohol and was extremely intoxicated. He insisted that his friend drove the car and lost control of it, then fled on foot.

The man became extremely agitated with police and began yelling profanities and calling the officers “pigs.” The officers told him to settle down but he would not stop yelling, so he was taken into custody after a brief struggle and booked for disorderly conduct. The car was impounded.

Oct. 3

Drug, Paraphernalia Possession

12:41am: An officer was on routine patrol near the 21100 block of SR 410 when he observed a male subject walking behind the closed businesses in the area. He had several bags and appeared to be wearing camouflaged clothing. The officer approached the man, who had no ID but was carrying a bag of groceries from Safeway. While the man was talking, another officer pulled up and pointed out another individual behind a dumpster. That man looked extremely nervous and looked like hew as planning on running away. The officer asked the man what he was doing and started to ask him to leave when they noticed the ball end of a glass pipe in his hand, which is commonly used to smoke narcotics. The man was put under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also found a marijuana pipe in his pocket and a homemade sling shot on his belt. He also had a knife, multi-tool pouch, homemade rope sap and a packet of methamphetamine. He was arrested for drug possession as well. The first man was released.

Residential Burglary

5:17pm: An officer was dispatched to a report of a residential burglary on the 4000 block of N. Vista Drive E. the victim said he left for work around 5:30 that morning and regularly leaves his back door unlocked. He said that when he came home around 5 p.m. that night, he noticed the front door was closed but unsecured. His large flat-screened television was missing, along with two firearms and three large bowie knives. His desk had been rifled through and other firearms that he had were still there. One of the bowie knives was an Indiana Jones memorabilia knife, and the other two were pieces of Rambo memorabilia. There are no suspects at this time.
