Bonney Lake Police: Disorderly Man Arrested at Allan Yorke, Kids OK after Collision with Vehicle, and Flying Tires

The following information from June 25 through July 2 was provided by the Bonney Lake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 25, 2013

Mail Theft: A citizen reported at 1 p.m. that someone had broken into his locking mailbox at his home on the 20100 block of Church Lake Drive East sometime after 10 a.m. on June 21 and the present time.Β

Stolen Plates: Officers assisted the Puyallup Police Department in contacting Bonney Lake residents who owned a vehicle similar to one involved in an earlier pursuit. Investigations revealed the plate associated with the suspect vehicle didn't match records. Bonney Lake police contacted two residents whose plates had been swapped with other vehicles throughout the county.

Attempted Burglary: Police responded to a home on the 19400 block of 68th Street East at 1:32 a.m. for a report someone entered a detached garage and tried to steal alcohol. The suspect fled when confronted by the homeowner. The garage was not locked.

Flying Tires: A citizen reported at 7:53 a.m. that someone had rolled a tire down the hill from Sky Island to his residence on the 10600 block of 174th Avenue East overnight and it struck and damaged his garage door. The citizen reported finding two more tires in his neighborhood.

Stolen License Plate: A citizen reported at 9:09 a.m. that someone had stolen the license plate off their vehicle that was parked on the 10900 block of 185th Avenue East.

Suspicious Activity: Police arrested two people on outstanding warrants after responding to a residence on the 11100 block of 184th Avenue Place East at 12:51 p.m. for a report of suspicious activity.

Car vs. Bike/Scooter Collision: Two juveniles sustained non-life threatening injuries after they collided with a vehicle while on a bike and scooter, respectively, at the intersection of 194th Avenue East and 75th Street East at about 9:30 p.m. Police found the juveniles had not stopped at the stop sign and entered the intersection coming down the hill on 75th Street East at a speed at which the driver, who was traveling south on 194th Avenue East did not have enough time to react.

June 28, 2013

Property Damage: A citizen reported at 12:36 p.m. that someone had broken the passenger side rear window of her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of a home on the 4700 block of North Island Drive. No items appeared to have been stolen from inside. The damage was believed to have occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. that day.

June 29, 2013

Vehicle Prowl: A citizen reported around 2 a.m. that her vehicle had been prowled earlier that evening while parked on the 10500 block of 191st Avenue Court East. Her Washington state driver's license and $75 in cash was stolen, but there was no evidence of a break-in and the victim said she had locked the doors.

Vehicle Stolen/Recovered: A man reported at 12:58 p.m. that his vehicle was stolen from the Safeway parking lot sometime between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. The Pierce County Sheriff's Office later received a report from a resident on the 11300 block of 201st Avenue East that the vehicle was found abandoned at that location.

Disorderly Conduct: Police arrested a man for disorderly contact and intimidating a public servant after responding to Allan Yorke Park at 4:28 p.m. on reports from several citizens the subject was trying to start fights, yelling obscenities and punching objects in the park.

June 30, 2013

DUI: Police were to book a man into Pierce County Jail on several charges including two counts of third-degree attempted assault, DUI and reckless endangerment following a collision on State Route 410 at about 2 a.m. The suspect's vehicle was headed eastbound when it crashed into a 3-foot median and got stuck on top. The suspect was reportedly combative with first responders as he was being evaluated for injuries at Tacoma General Hospital.

Domestic Violence: Police arrested a man for fourth-degree assault and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence after responding to a domestic dispute at a residence on the 20900 block of 95th Street East at 8:17 a.m.

July 1, 2013

Shoplifting: Police arrested a man for second-degree burglary after responding to Fred Meyer at 3:17 p.m. for a report the suspect was seen attempting to conceal items in a plastic shopping bag and exit the store without paying. The suspect admitted his attempted theft of an estimated $144 worth of goods.

July 2, 2013

Theft from Vehicle: A citizen reported at 8:12 a.m. that someone had broken into his vehicle that was parked in front of his residence on the 5600 block of 195th Place East overnight and stole a laptop computer. The responding officer verified the driver's side passenger window had been broken out. The theft happened sometime after 9 p.m.
