Bonney Lake Police: Man Threatens Girlfriend and Her Father with Knife, Woman Bites Man's Hand, and 30 Gallons of Fuel Stolen from Vehicle

The following information covering April 21 through May 20 was provided by the Bonney Lake Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

April 21, 2013

DUI: Police arrested, cited and later released a man for DUI following an initial traffic stop on 208th Avenue East off State Route 410 at 12:21 a.m. for an extremely loud modified exhaust.

April 25, 2013

Theft of Bike:
Police received a report at 8:50 a.m. that a bicycle was stolen from the porch of a home on the 7400 block of 208th Avenue East. It was unsecured.

Burglary Tools:
Police arrested a man for making/having burglary tools after stopping him on the 20300 block of Church Lake Road East at 2:32 a.m. He was seen crouching in the shadows with an LED flashlight rummaging through a backpack with a bicycle nearby. When he gave officers consent to search his backpack, they found several items consistent with tools used in burglaries. They also found drug items and later also cited him for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Domestic Violence:
Police cited a woman through the city prosecutor's office for assault fourth-degree domestic violence after responding to a home on the 11000 block of Angeline Road East at 11:19 a.m. for a report she had bitten her ex-boyfriend's hand in an argument. She had left the scene when officers arrived to speak with her ex-boyfriend and had reportedly not cooperated with police regarding the incident.

May 1, 2013

Burglary:
Police responded to a home on the 20300 block of Church Lake Drive at 9:19 a.m. for a report someone entered the unlocked garage and stole a battery charger valued at $150, sometime between 2 p.m. on April 30 and 9 a.m. that morning.

Theft from Vehicle:
Police responded to the Fred Meyer parking lot at 10:10 p.m. for a report a $500 Coach purse was stolen from a vehicle parked there from about 9:40 p.m. to 10:05 p.m. The passenger side window was smashed.

May 6, 2013

Theft:
Police received a report at 8:40 a.m. from a resident on the 6500 block of 193rd Avenue East that several items were stolen from his driveway between 6 p.m. on May 5 and that morning at about 8 a.m. All items were under a blue tarp and the costlier of items, including two generators and an air compressor, were secured by a bike chain.

Reckless Driving:
Police cited a man for reckless driving after initiating a traffic stop on the 19100 block of State Route 410 East at about 5:30 a.m. on reports he was speeding and weaving between vehicles during the heavy morning commute.

Keys Found: An officer on patrol found a set of keys near the 11500 block of Angeline Road at 4:36 p.m. and brought them back to the police station property room.

DUI: Police arrested, cited and later released a man for DUI after responding to a report of reckless driving in the area of the 8100 block of 204th Court East at 6:18 p.m.

Bike Found:
Police responded to the 20800 block of 92nd Street East at about 5 p.m. for a report a Redline bicycle was found in a driveway there. The bike was found the day before at about 4 p.m. It is placed in police found property with an evidence tag.

Theft from Vehicle: Police responded to the Home Depot parking lot at 7 p.m. for a report that someone had stolen a wallet from a vehicle while the victim was inside between 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The victim said he'd left the wallet on the passenger seat and had his driver's side window rolled down.

Attempted Vehicle Prowl:
Police cited a man for attempted vehicle prowl second degree after responding to a home on the 20500 block of 71st Street East at 5:33 a.m. for a report he tried to break into the home. The homeowner told police he heard someone shake the handle of his front door and when he went outside saw the suspect attempted to enter his vehicle. The suspect was highly intoxicated and officers assessed he could not be booked in that condition. He was cited and released to his parents.

DUI: Police arrested a man for DUI following a traffic stop on the 9400 block of 198th Avenue East at 11:11 p.m.

Theft of Fuel:
Police received a report at 10:20 a.m. that a Chevrolet Hi-Cube's fuel tank had about 30 gallons of gasoline stolen from it while it was parked on the 10000 block of 192nd Avenue East sometime between 4 p.m. on May 11 and 7:15 p.m. that evening. It wasn't clear if the tank was drilled into or if it was punctured.

Theft of Bike: Police received a report at 3:18 p.m. that a black and red Redline BMX bicycle on a bike rack at Mountain View Middle School was stolen sometime between 7 a.m. and 2:20 p.m.

Theft from Vehicle: Police responded to the Lowes parking lot at 7:20 p.m. for a report that several tools, a tool box and tool bag were stolen from the bed of a truck sometime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Theft from Vehicle:
A citizen reported at 10:19 a.m. that her vehicle had been entered while she shopped at Walmart the previous afternoon at about 4 p.m. Several electronic items were missing. The victim didn't notice any damage to her vehicle but speculates the thief may have entered with help from a slightly open driver's side window.

Residential Burglary: A citizen reported at about 11 a.m. that her home on the 17600 block of 106th Street East had been burglarized the day before. She reported seeing a young man walk out of her back yard at about 9:45 a.m. that morning with his jacket and pants pockets stuffed with things. She didn't stop the young man, she said, because she wanted to see if she could resolve the issue civilly as she thought she recognized him. After confirming it wasn't him, she decided to file a police report. There were no signs of forced entry and it appeared the man had entered through an unlocked back door. Items stolen include various pieces of jewelry, video game, iPad Mini, a digital camera, cash, and several types of prescription medication.

Theft: Police responded to the 6400 block of West Tapps Highway East at 6:23 p.m. for a report someone had stolen a boat cover and a mounted ski tower from a boat moored in that area. The tower was bolted to the boat hull and it appeared the thief had spent some time unfastening it; no other damage was observed to the boat.

Theft: Police responded to a home on the 4900 block of N. Vista Drive East at 8 p.m. for a report several items were stolen from a boat parked in the driveway. The owner reported the theft would have happened after about 5:30 p.m. on May 12. Items stolen included two propellers and two steering rams.

DUI: Police arrested and later cited a woman for DUI following a traffic stop at about 9 p.m. at the Chevron parking lot on the 21400 block of State Route 410 for several illegal turns.

Domestic Violence:
Police arrested and cited a man for assault fourth-degree domestic violence after responding to a report he had been in a fight with his brother at a residence on the 20900 block of 91st Street East at 2:10 a.m. The other brother did not cooperate with police and offered that nothing happened. The fight was reported by a third brother.

Domestic Violence: Police arrested a 19-year-old man for assault first-degree domestic violence, assault fourth-degree domestic violence, malicious mischief domestic violence, harassment domestic violence, and minor in possession after responding to a home on the 8800 block of Angeline Road at about 9 p.m. for a report he had threatened his girlfriend and her father with a knife. Her father appeared to have sustained some superficial wounds but declined medical aid.

May 20, 2013

Counterfeit:
Police responded to the AM/PM on the 18100 block of State Route 410 at about 8 a.m. for a report of a counterfeit bill. The employee reported a woman tried to pay for gas with a fake $20 bill and a real $1 bill. When the employee accused the woman of passing a fake bill, she denied it and requested it back. The employee didn't return the bills but instead called police with information about the vehicle the woman was seen leaving the scene in. Store equipment confirmed the bill was fake.

Domestic Violence: Police arrested a man for domestic violence malicious mischief third degree after responding to a home on the 9700 block of 233rd Avenue East at 5:23 p.m. for a reported disturbance. The man's ex-wife reported he had pulled the door handle off her car and threw it back at her in an argument over their parenting plan that involved two small children. No injuries were reported.
