Bonney Lake Police Release Name of Officer Involved in Fatal Shooting

BLPD has released the name of the Bonney Lake officer involved in Nov. 13's deadly shooting.

The Bonney Lake officer involved in Nov. 13's shooting in Bonney Lake is Kyle Torgerson, according to a department release.

Holly Crahay, 38, was killed on Sunday, Nov. 13 after she exchanged gunfire with Torgerson and two Pierce County sheriff’s deputies, Tristin Marrs, 26, and Kelly Carolus, 49.

Torgerson is a 10-year police veteran assigned to the department’s traffic division. He is 39 years old.

The two deputies were identified last week.

Authorities said deputies attempted to pull Crahay's car over after they found her driving recklessly in a shopping center parking lot near 196th Avenue. She refused to comply.

After the deputy’s patrol car pinned Crahay’s car against a guardrail on Myers Road, she allegedly opened fire on two police vehicles and attempted to use her pitbull to attack them. The officers returned fire, killing Crahay.

The Prosecutor’s Office and the law enforcement agencies are reviewing the shooting.
