Bonney Lake Police Reports: Duo Arrested after Tampering with City Pump House and Juvenile Arrested for Threatening Family with Hatchet

Drug Arrest: Police arrested a man for unlawful possession of a controlled substance along with third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Veterans Memorial Drive at 9:07 p.m. He was found to have oxycodone on his person during the stop.

Theft from Vehicle: Police responded to the 7300 block of 194th Avenue East at 7:45 a.m. for a report that tools were stolen from a van parked on the shoulder of the road. The victim reported the theft happened sometime overnight and that he had locked the doors but there were no signs of forced entry.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered: Police responded to the 7600 block of 191st Avenue East at 3:48 p.m. for a report that a vehicle reported stolen out of Auburn was located.

Theft from Vehicle: Police responded to the parking lot in front of Kids Country on 20020 South Prairie Road at 5:49 p.m. for a report that a passenger side window was broken out and a purse was stolen. The victim said she'd left the vehicle at 5:40 p.m. to pick up her child and upon returning at 5:45 p.m., she discovered the broken window and missing purse.

Theft from Vehicle: Police received a report at 9:36 p.m. that a vehicle parked on the north side of Diagnostic Imaging NW on 21110 State Route 410 East had been broken into and about $5,000 in tools were stolen. The victim reported that he thought he'd locked the vehicle but later discovered the tools, along with some parts had been stolen; a gas card and vehicle registration were also missing.

Wallet Found: A citizen turned in a wallet found in the Walmart parking lot at 9:39 p.m. belonging to a Jake A. Smith. Police have not been able to contact Smith; the property is in the Bonney Lake police station.

Vehicle Stolen: Police responded to Walmart at 11:11 p.m. for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim reported parking a white 1993 Honda Civic with Washington license plate 980-ZNB in front of the store at about 4 p.m. but when he exited at about 8:40 p.m., the vehicle was gone. Police were examining surveillance footage.

Nov. 10, 2012

Alcohol and Minors: Police cited three adults for furnishing alcohol to minors during a party that was later broken up on the 18700 block of 65th Street East at 11:38 p.m. A 16-year-old juvenile on site was treated by East Pierce Fire and Rescue after she became unconscious from consuming β€œtequila jello shots” and hit her head. Charges for minor in possession were being forwarded to the Pierce County Juvenile Prosecutor for her. Police found about 30 people inside the home of the party.

Shoplifting at Radio Shack: Police responded to the Radio Shack at 21231 State Route 410 East at 5:45 p.m. for a report that almost $600 in equipment was stolen. The suspect was described as a while male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded rain jacket, with short red hair and scabs on his nose and chin. He had reportedly told employees his name was 'Jake' and asked them to hold some of the equipment he had later fled the store with without paying for them. Items take included a Swann Eagle Eye SD recorder surveillance system, a Swan digital Hawkeye wireless kit and a Radio Shack handheld radio scanner.

Burglary Arrests: Police arrested two people at about 5 a.m. who admitted to picking locks and entering the City of Bonney Lake pump house at 18324 Rhodes Lake Road. The suspects had taken the padlocks they picked along with bolts to a manhole cover they'd removed. A staff member at the pump house advised that by law, because of the compromise of the manhole cover, the pump would needed to be taken offline and water tested – estimates of which were at least $1,000.

Shoplifting at Goodwill: Police arrested a woman for shoplifting after responding to the Goodwill at 211534 State Route 410 East at 3:15 p.m. An employee and customer had witnessed the woman place conceal multiple items on her person. Police detained her and arrested her as she was leaving the store. She was also trespassed from all Goodwill stores indefinitely.

Juvenile Arrest: Police responded to a residence on the 20700 block of Church Lake Drive East at 8 p.m. and took a juvenile into custody for felony harassment domestic violence after his brother and father corroborated that he had threatened them with a hatchet over use of the family computer.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered: Police confirmed that a vehicle initially reported stolen on Nov. 13 from outside a residence on the 18900 block of 109th Street Court East was recovered the next day by a Pierce County Sheriff's deputy at 130th Street and Ridgewood Drive in Bonney Lake. The vehicle appeared to be drivable and both plates were still attached.
