Bonney Lake Police Reports: More than $4,500 in Jewelry Stolen from Home, Senior Center Reader Board Vandalized and More

Drunk with Warrant: Police detained a man at about 11:40 p.m. following reports that an intoxicated person was seen staggering around the 20800 block of State Route 410. The responding officer made contact with the man and found he had a misdemeanor warrant out of Enumclaw for public disturbance. He was taken into custody and released to Enumclaw.

Theft: Police received a phone report at 3:48 p.m. regarding the theft of more than $4,500 in jewelry from a home on the 21600 block of 104th Street Court East by a known suspect. The investigation was continuing.

Hit and Run: Police issued a woman a criminal citation for hit and run to an unattended vehicle after responding to the Walmart parking lot at 1:26 p.m. A witness was able to provide the license plate of the suspect vehicle and police followed up with the vehicle's address.

DUI: Police arrested a woman for driving under the influence after making contact with her at 208th Avenue East and State Route 410 at 6:18 p.m. and following up on several reports of reckless driving by other citizens.

Jan. 25, 2013

Shoplifting: Police responded to T-Mobile at 3:28 p.m. for a report a man stolen a Samsung S2 display cell phone valued at $499.99 and fled the store.

Domestic Violence Assault: Police arrested a woman for assault domestic violence after responding to the old Albertsons parking lot at 4:12 p.m. regarding an incident that occurred in a moving vehicle.

Shoplifting: Police responded to Safeway at 9:47 p.m. for a report of a shoplifting. A white male described as average build and with red hair, pockmarked face and long eye lashes wearing a puffy blue windbreaker with a grey hood was seen running from the store with something concealed in his jacket into a blue vehicle. Staff were not certain what was stolen but suspected it was liquor.

Jan. 26, 2013

Burglary and Vandalism: Police responded to a home on the 7400 block of 182nd Avenue East at 5:34 p.m. for a report the house was broken into sometime between 12 p.m. on Jan. 23 and the present time. The window in the front door had been smashed to gain entry and paint from inside the house was used to spray paint the outside wall and two windows of the house. The homeowner reported this was the second time he's found damage to the house in the month of January.

Domestic Dispute: Police responded to the 8800 block of Angeline Road at 11:46 p.m. for a report of a verbal dispute. One person was pushed and a vehicle's tire was reportedly popped in the confrontation, but police were awaiting statements from parties involved before charges were filed, as they had left the scene before the responding officer arrived.

Shoplifting: Police responded to Safeway at 5:41 p.m. for a report of attempted theft. A woman was cited for shoplifting after admitting to stealing several movies from the customer service area and Chinese food from the deli section.

Jan. 28, 2013

Vandalism: Police responded to the Senior Center at 19304 Bonney Lake Boulevard at 10:51 a.m. for a report the center's reader board had been vandalized. The word 'daycare' had been spray painted across the plastic reader board cover. Damage estimates were about $500.

Arrest Following Attempt to Flee: Police arrested a man on several outstanding warrants near a residence on the 19400 block of 67th Street Court East at about 2 p.m. after initially trying to question him before he fled on foot. The officer was able to detain him.

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 2:43 p.m. that a truck parked at an unidentified location, according to police reports, had been prowled the previous day between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. A tool box that had been bolted to the bed of a Ford F250 had been stolen, and along with it more than $500 in equipment.

Theft of Meds: Police received an in-station report at 3:37 p.m. that a citizen's Spiriva emphysema medication had been stolen from his front porch – address not indicated in police reports. The medication was valued at $668.

Arrest Following Drug Deal Tip: Police cited and released a man for third-degree driving while license suspended after responding to a report of a possible drug deal in the area of the 9900 block of 214th Avenue East around 7:15 p.m. Police received a tip that a possible exchange was occurring and followed the parties to the indicated location. No evidence was located to support charges of any drug activity, but the arrested man did have a warrant out of Buckley and LESA Tacoma.
