Bonney Lake Woman Receives Sentence in Embezzlement Case

Jeanette Kay Sturtz was sentenced last week to 30 days community service and 15 days house arrest in accordance with prosecutors' recommendation she be sentenced as a first-time offender.

A Bonney Lake woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling $26,000 and $10,600 from a former employer and her homeowner's association, respectively, was sentenced last week as a first-time offender.

The Courier-Herald reports Jeanette Kay Sturtz, 57, was sentenced to 30 days community service and 15 days house arrest. Prosecutors believed she had embezzled from her employer, Blue Sky Landscape Service in Puyallup,Β in part to pay back the association.
