Buckley Police: Four DUI Arrests Over Cinco de Mayo Weekend

The following information from April 23 to May 7 was provided by the Buckley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

April 23, 2013

Theft 3rd Degree: Police responded to a report of two different vehicles pumping fuel and leaving without paying in the 200 block of Church Street.

Information/Miscellaneous: Around 8 p.m., police were dispatched to a subject breaking into a residence in the 140 block of Mont Vista Road. It turned out that he subject was watching the house and broke his key off in the lock. After confirming the situation, police assisted him inside.

Incomplete 9-1-1 Call: Officers responded to a location in the 500 block of Church Street regarding a 911 hang-up around 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that some patrons at the lounge were having a verbal argument. The parties had already separated and were leaving. Officers cleared without incident.

May 4, 2013

DUI: Around 1:20 a.m., police arrested a female driver near Main Street and A Street for DUI.

Agency Assist: Police were dispatched around 3:15 a.m. to a collision involving a car and a power pole on State Route 165 near Pershing. The incident happened outside Buckley Police jurisdiction. Washington State Patrol later arrested the driver for DUI.

Driving While License Suspended: Around 6:44 a.m., police issued a notice of infraction and cited a driver in the 29000 block of 112th Avenue for third-degree DWLS.

May 5, 2013

DUI: Around 12:50 a.m., police a vehicle in the 200 block of Church Street for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI.

DUI: Around 3:30 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Church Street for speeding. The driver was arrested for DUI and third-degree DWLS.

May 7, 2013

Traffic Complaint: Police received a parking complaint where garbage cans and a trailer was blocking the sidewalk in the 110 block of Rainier Street. Police spoke with the owner who agreed to remove the cans and trailer.

Harassment/Threats: A 53-year-old resident in Olympia reported that while he was working for a business in the 700 block of Spiketon Road, he was verbally threatened by a former employee of the landowners.

Mental Subject: Around 5:43 p.m., police were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of Main Street regarding a suicidal subject. Upon arrival, the officer talked with a distraught female that was extremely intoxicated. EMS transported the woman to the hospital for an evaluation.

Outside Agency Warrant: Around 8:40 p.m., police arrested a woman in the 29000 block of State Route 410 East on two outstanding warrants after she was contacted in regard to a possible theft.
