Buckley Police: Multiple DUI Arrests, Gas Siphoned from Truck and Work Truck Reported Stolen

The following information from June 12 to June 17 was provided by the Buckley Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 12, 2013

Vandalism: A citizen reported at 11 p.m. that someone spray-painted the side of an apartment on the 500 block of S. Division Street.

June 13, 2013

Child Welfare: Police were dispatched to the 29000 block of State Route 410 at 10:21 p.m. for a report three very young children were left in a parking lot. The officer found the children were safe in a trailer and had gone to a neighbor after their mother was gone for a while. The mother told police a babysitter was there with them but had left. Child Protective Services were contacted.

DUI: Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 410 at Lower Cemetery Road at 11:42 p.m. for an expired registration. The officer noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and the driver was under 21 years old. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and later released at the scene after being cited.

Stolen Vehicle: A citizen reported at 10 p.m. that his work truck had been stolen from the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue.Β 

June 14, 2013

DUI: Police arrested a driver for DUI on State Route 410 at 244th Avenue S.E. at 11:12 p.m.

Multiple Minor Arrests: Police stopped a vehicle on State Route 162 at Mundy Loss Road at 2:50 a.m. for improper lane usage. Two female passengers who weren't wearing seatbelts were arrested for minor in possession. A third passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants and a fourth male passenger also arrested for minor in possession. The driver was sober and released at the scene after he was cited for the traffic infraction.

June 15, 2013

Mailbox Theft: Police received a report at 10:30 p.m. that a mailbox had been stolen from the 1100 block of Main Street. It was white in color and made of plastic, valued at about $40.

June 17, 2013

Property Damage: A duty officer at the Rainier School reported that someone had broken out two windows to the Cedar Building on the campus.

Thefts: A citizen reported at 11 p.m. that someone had stolen some tools and fishing gear from the tool box in his truck that had been parked on the 1000 block of Rose Place. Some gas was also siphoned out of his gas tanks.
