KOMO news reported late Thursday that the 16-year-old boy pulled from the lake died hours later at Mary Bridge Hospital. Investigators said the sophomore at had been swimming with friends Thursday afternoon at Allan Yorke Park when he went under.

A 16-year-old boy was rescued by bystanders Thursday afternoon after being underwater at Lake Tapps for 3-4 minues, Officer Todd Green of the said.
The boy was taken to Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma. Green just checked and the boy's condition was unknown.
When he was being transported, the boy reportedly had a pulse, Green said.
The boy was swimming at a busy Allan Yorke Park, which was packed with people under sunny skies and after school ended for the year Thursday. He reportedly disappeared for a few minutes before others in the area retrieved him.
responded at 3:18 p.m. Medics arrived to find the victim had already been rescued. Bystanders also initiated CPR.
Firefighter-paramedics treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Mary Bridge.
