A man brought four marijuana plants to the Bonney Lake Police Department on Thursday, May 12.

Patch stopped by the Bonney Lake Police Department on Thursday afternoon and was greeted at the front door by what Chief Mike Mitchell jokingly called 'their new garden' -- four, full-sized marijuana plants.

The man who dropped off the plants told Patch that he was angry with his nephew, who owed him money. In retailation, he took the four plants from his Winnebago and turned them over to police.

"We are investigating," said Bonney Lake Police Sgt. Kurt Alfano. "It's too early to tell what will come of this, it is unclear at this time whether or not the plants are for personal use or distribution. We may very well get a phone call from the man, saying he has a medicinal marijuana card and his plants have been stolen."
