Driver Killed in Wednesday Accident in Sumner Hauling 40,000 Pounds of Pumpkins and Apples

The driver of a tractor trailer reportedly carrying 40,000 pounds of pumpkins and apples was killed following an accident on State Route 167 in Sumner Wednesday afternoon. 

Robin Wills, 74, of Olympia, was traveling southbound on State Route 167 exiting toward State Route 410 at about 1:30 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck the southbound State Route 167 overpass support column, according to a State Patrol memo.

No other vehicles were involved. The collision remained under investigation. Trooper Guy Gill tweeted officials suspect a medical incident may have caused it.
