Felony Hit and Run in Bonney Lake Leaves Motorcyclist Injured

According to the Washington State Patrol, a hit and run occurred near 234th Ave. E. in the late evening on July 7 in Bonney Lake, leaving one motorcyclist injured.

According to a report released by the Washington State Patrol, a two-vehicle accident last night on SR 410 left a motorcyclist injured in a felony hit and run.

The collision occurred at SR 410 and 234th Ave. E. at 10:16 p.m. The motorcycle was driving westbound and the car eastbound on SR 410 when the motorcycle passed two other motorcycles and a passenger car, striking the car on the driver side.

The motorcyclist drove a quarter-mile and pulled over into a gas station, but the car did not stop and continued on.

"If there is an injury involved in a collision and if someone doesn’t stay, even if the accident was not their fault, it is a felony hit and run," said Trooper Guy Gill, PIO for the Washington State Patrol.

The 40 year-old motorcyclist was on a 2003 Harley Davidson. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma to be treated for injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
