High Winds Push Tree Into Home and Knock Out Traffic Signals Near Sumner Heights in Edgewood

Due to the storm, East Pierce Fire and Rescue crews are responding to calls involving electrical transformer fires, automatic fire alarms, and a tree into a house.

It's a busy day for East Pierce Fire and Rescue.

Currently, crews are at a home in the Sumner Heights area of Edgewood, on the 12700 block of 53rd Street Court East, where a tree fell on to a house. There are no injuries.

Fire crews are also reporting that, due to the weather, traffic lights are out all along West Valley Highway East, from the Pierce/King County line all the way to the base of Sumner Heights Dr E. Treat them like a 4-way stop.
