Man Shot, Killed in Bonney Lake Garage

Bonney Lake officers are investigating a homicide on the 19200 block of 75th St. E. It appears to be over a drug deal gone wrong and four people have been arrested.

UPDATE 10/26/12, 2 pm

The victim has been identifed as 26-year-old Donald Thomas. It does not appear at this time that Thomas lived in Bonney Lake, said BLPD officer Daron Wolschleger.

Bonney Lake Police are at the 19200 block of 75th St. E. investigating a homicide of a man in his 20s.

The shooting appears to be over a drug deal and happened around 4 p.m. Thursday, said BLPD officer Todd Green.

The victim was shot inside a garage and four people -- 3 men and a woman  -- found at the scene have been booked on homicide charges at Pierce County Jail. Prosecutors plan to decide charges on Monday.

“We have determined that the four people are related to the incident and we are questioning them as suspects,” said Green. “We don’t believe there are any other suspects at this time."

It’s difficult to tell at this point how many gunshot wounds the victim endured, Green said. The people are currently being interviewed.

Is it just me, or is there less and less reason to believe the BLPD or PCSD will do anything to clean up the drug problems in Bonney Lake? They are fantastic at writing tickets for minor traffic violations, though. What, exactly, is our "Acting" Chief of Police's plan? What's the Sheriff's strategy? Is it all just "reactive" and nothing "proactive" other than the DARE campaign and the spiffy seized cars that go with it? Anyone want to buy a house in Bonney Lake?

If anyone set this up it was the robbers sister/cousin. The girl did not hide evidence of crime. The 2 brothers were not felons. The B.L.P.D did not give accurate information and most people don't know what they are talking about. You may think you do.
