Minor to Moderate Injuries in Two Collisions Friday Night on SR 167 in Sumner

East Pierce Fire and Rescue reports one person required extrication and two people were transported to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries following two separate collisions on State Route 167 Friday night.

UPDATE, Sat., July 6, 8:30 a.m. 

According to the collision report from the Washington State Patrol, a minivan driver heading southbound on SR 167 just before 11 p.m. observed a collision near 24th Street and came to a stop on the left shoulder, partially blocking the lane. The driver exited the vehicle to render aid and a vehicle heading southbound struck her vehicle.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue reports one person required extrication and two people were transported to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries following two separate collisions on State Route 167 Friday night.
 
The collisions were reported at about 10 p.m. on the department's Facebook page and were located in both the northbound and southbound lanes near the 24th Street overpass.

Washington State Patrol remained on the scene investigating.
