One person was treated for smoke inhalation but otherwise was uninjured following a house fire in Bonney Lake Monday night.
East Pierce firefighters responded to the 20500 block of 108th Street Court East at around 8 p.m. to a report that the 'whole house' was on fire, according to the department's Facebook page.
Only one occupant was home at the time and had escaped the fire safely, aside from the smoke inhalation.
Buckley firefighters also responded to assist in protecting nearby buildings and containing the fire to the home it started in.
The fire appears to be a total loss, and the American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter has been requested to help the family impacted by the fire.
