Poll: Amanda Knox Acquitted of Murder, to be Released

After four years, an Italian court overturned the murder conviction for the 24-year-old college student from Seattle.

An Italian court acquitted Amanda Knox today in the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher.

The appeals court threw out the murder conviction and ordered the 24-year-old's release.

The jury overturned the murder conviction but upheld the conviction on the defamation charges after she accused club owner Patrick Lumumba of killing Kercher, a British college student, in Perugia.
