Ever wonder what it is really like to be a police officer? Want to go behind the scenes at the Bonney Lake Police Department?
Now you can, when you join the 2013 BLPD Citizens Academy.
The annual seven-class series is free to citizens of Bonney Lake ages 18 and up, and is an opportunity to see, hands on, how local police work. The class, taught by BLPD officers, includes demonstration of K-9, firearms, marine services and more.
A time commitment of two evenings per week for seven weeks is required. Class hours are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, starting March 19, 2013 in the Bonney Lake Public Safety Building. There will also be one Saturday that is scheduled for firearms and emergency vehicle operation practicals.
A certificate is awarded at the completion of the program. Register now to reserve your seat!
