The following information from Aug. 29 to Sept. 3 was provided by the Sumner Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aug. 29, 2013

Disorderly Conduct: Police trespassed a man from McDonalds on Main Street at about 7 p.m. after responding to a request from staff to have him leave and trespassed from the property.  The man, known previously to police for causing problems for local businesses and alcohol-related offenses, was found across the street at Jack in the Box when police arrived. He agreed to stay away from McDonalds but was back on the property shortly after and reportedly urinated and defecated in the bushes on the property. The man was known to be mainly homeless. He was cited and released on foot.

Bar Fight: Police arrested one man for fourth-degree assault and second-degree trespassing after responding to a bar and restaurant on the 13500 block of Valley Ave East at 8:43 p.m. for a report he’d hit the owner. The altercation began when the owner confronted him and asked him to leave stemming from an earlier case of property damage at the bar. Two more men were cited for third-degree malicious mischief and second-degree trespass, respectively, related to this incident.
