The girl was cited for minor in consumption of alcohol and the officer drove her to her father’s house, to avoid booking at Remann Hall.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, CHILD ENDANGERMENT, DUI

Officers responded to Designer Tan at 15005 Main Street for a report of a disorderly woman. Dispatch said the woman was highly intoxicated and fighting with others. She was trying to drive away with an 8-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy in the car.

A witness told police that the 8-year-old told her, as she was standing outside the tanning salon, that her mother was drunk and she didn’t feel safe. The woman exited the store and the witness approached her to find out what was going on. She said the woman “got in her face,” so she backed off.

An unknown man came to the tanning salon with the 2-year-old and placed both kids in the car before getting in the drivers’ seat. The two began to argue and then the male subject threw up his hands and said, “I can’t take this.” He left on foot. The woman then got into the drivers seat and attempted to drive away. The witness and the managers from the tanning salon and Farellis helped her.

There was a bit of a struggle but the witness were able to get the car keys away from her and kept her there until police arrived.

The manager of Farelli’s said that the woman came into her restaurant but she refused to serve her because she was drunk. She was in the restaurant with the children and two men, who drank alcoholic beverages. The woman became unruly in the restaurant and spit on the floor. She left the restaurant and was seen moments later falling the parking with the 2-year-old in her arms.

The woman told police that she wasn’t doing anything wrong, that she was just “drunk and pissed off.” She said she was only a couple blocks from her house and didn’t see the harm in driving her children home.

The woman was arrested for DUI, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Her car was towed and a family member was called to pick up the children. Her blood alcohol level was almost double the legal limit when checked at the station.

ILLEGAL DUMPING

Police responded to the 1200 block of East Valley Highway for a report of illegal dumping of a boat. A 17-foot speedboat was dumped in the driveway entrance to the pit area of the Peterson Brothers’ property.

The boat was filled with wood scraps, tire parts and a computer printer. Also inside the boat was a receipt for the public recycling center in Pacific. Officers called the center, and the employee said the man was a daily customer and he usually comes by in the afternoon. The boat was registered to a man in SeaTac and there was no report of a recent sale.

Because the property was left on the Peterson Brothers’ property, the officer couldn’t impound the boat.

Police attempted to locate the man whose name was on the recycling center receipt and spoke to his ex-girlfriend, who said he is currently homeless. She specializes in watercraft repair and said he had asked her to give him a quote to repair the boat. She looked at the boat and gave him an estimate but didn’t hear back and assumed he was taking the boat to an auction.

The man was cited with littering on private property.

HOME BURGLARY

A woman called police to say her house on the 15000 block of Elm Street had been burglarized. She came home from work that day to find her back door unlocked and several items missing and her house rummaged through.

Her laptop, personal financial documents and vehicle registration documents had been stolen, as well has her passport, jewelry perfumes, purses and cash. The robbers also stole some of her religious and spiritual tokens. Her bed was in disarray after she left it made that morning and a few of her roommate’s belongings were stolen, too.

She found it odd that some things, like her religious statues, had been stolen but her TV and other electronic equipment had been left behind. It seemed to police the theft was committed by someone she knew.

The woman said her ex-boyfriend still had a set of keys to her apartment and was on administrative leave for investigation into an assault on her son. She said he often does things to “rattle” her and that he was possibly doing this to scare her.

Police didn’t collect any evidence from the man at the house and there was no sign of forced entry. The woman was given a case number and asked to provide a list of what was stolen for a follow-up investigation.
