Jan. 17

DUI/Vehicular Assault

6:15pm: Officers responded to a report of a blocking injury accident in the 13700 block of 16th St. Upon arrival, officers located a vehicle with three male subjects nearby. One of the subjects had his arm in a makeshift sling and stating that he believed his arm was broken in the accident. The driver said that he did not see the stop sign and he T-boned another vehicle. Officers were looking at the damage to the vehicles they noticed about six open beer cans in the vehicle. When officers spoke with the other driver she stated that the other driver came way to fast over the hill and crashed into her vehicle. When officers asked the causing driver how much he had to drink, he advised that he drank “maybe six beers." After further investigation the driver of the causing vehicle was arrested for DUI and Vehicular Assault (for causing substantial bodily injury to his passenger) and booked into Pierce County Jail.

Jan. 20

Imprisonment, Domestic Violence

2:00am: Officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 6100 block of Parker Rd. Dispatch advised officers that the victim reported she had been trapped for hours and was beaten by her boyfriend. The suspect left prior to officers’ arrival, a K-9 unit was deployed but the track was unsuccessful. The victim stated that the suspect was getting psychotic lately, possibly due to drug use. The victim stated she got the suspect to go outside and she then locked the door behind him. A couple of hours later someone called 911 to report they knew where the suspect was and provided an address in Bonney Lake. Officers responded to the location and arrested the suspect. He was booked into Pierce County Jail on charges of unlawful imprisonment, assault 4th degree and malicious mischief 3rd degree.

Jan. 21

Hit and Run

8:11 pm: Officers were called to the intersection of Parker Ave and Main St where the caller advised his vehicle had been involved in a hit and run accident where the other driver left the scene. Upon arrival the driver told officers that he felt his car get hit and it spun around and stopped. He said that he did not see the car that hit him but that he thought it was a grey car. Officers spoke with the passengers in the vehicle and they advised that they thought the other car was grey or green. There are no suspects or suspect vehicle at this time.
