He asked her where the beer was and she claimed not to know, but the officer was able to see a case of Coors Light and a full bottle of Carlo Rossi wine on the playground equipment. The officer took photos of all the people so they could be identified in the Fred Meyer surveillance video. The girl finally admitted she stole the beer and wine from the store after walking out the back exit with it. Parents of the other juveniles were called and the girl was booked at Remann Hall for theft and minor in possession of alcohol.

Domestic Violence, DUI

Two officers responded to a call from a woman who said she had been hit by a man and was scared. Dispatch advised that the man was attempting to leave the scene in a Chevy truck. Officers pulled him over on the corner of Elm St. and 157th Ave. Ct. E. and immediately smelled intoxicants. The man claimed that he didn’t know if anyone had been hurt and he refused to answer a majority of the officers’ questions. He was slurring his speech. Eventually, he stated that he and his girlfriend were having an argument over “weather or food,” but that he never hit her or made any threats. He said he had a couple shots. It was determined that the domestic violence assault was verbal only and the man failed a sobriety test, so he was arrested for DUI.

Perscription Forgery

Officers responded to Nicholson’s Pharmacy for a report of a forged prescription. The pharmacy owner told police that the possible forged prescriptions were on an improper pad format. Dispatch advised that the suspects were attempting to leave the area, but before they could leave, officers pulled over the silver Mustang on Fryar Ave.

Both occupants were moving around the car and wouldn’t cooperate with police. Eventually, they told police they had just left the pharmacy after getting a prescription filled. The passenger told police there was a ‘loaded’ marijuana pipe in the middle console – officers found both metal and glass smoking pipes with burned material in them. The passenger was allowed to leave but the driver was charged with prescription fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vehicle Theft

An officer responded to the east lot of the Sounder Station for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The owner said he was upset because someone forcefully broke into his car and took cash, tools, fishing poles and a CD player. There were several punctured holes on the drivers side door lock, with the lock removed. There was also $2000 in cash in the ash tray, that the man had left there to pay his mortgage later that day. There was damage to the steering column and the owner said he was surprised to see the tank empty when he left it three-quarters full. Later, the man realized the fuel line had been cut. The officer could not locate any useful fingerprints and there were no suspects or security cameras.
