Homeowner thwarts TV thieves

9:48pm: Officers received a call that a resident came home and discovered a truck that she didn’t recognize sitting in her driveway. The truck was occupied by a female and a male companion, who was in her home. The victim saw that the subjects had already loaded up her television. The victim told them that she was going to call the police. The male suspect then unloaded her television from his truck and delivered it back to her home, put it back near the entertainment center and asked her not to call the police. The suspects returned a little while later and had another conversation with the victim, but by the time police arrived the suspects had again left the home. During an area check for the vehicle an officer located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Both suspects were arrested and one was booked into Pierce County Jail for Burglary.

Minor in Consumption

12:39am: An officer was on routine patrol when he observed a male subject stumbling out of a residential yard on Elm St. The yard had no walkway but had many trees and flowers. The suspect stumbled out into the street and the officer asked him to get out of the street. The suspect asked the officer why he was harassing him and that “his brother” had not been drinking. The officer told the suspect to get out of the roadway for his safety and to sit on his car. The suspect began clenching his fists and yelling in an agitated manner and continued to walk around into both lanes of traffic. The suspect was finally placed into the back of the officer’s car and prepared to be transported to jail. While enroute the suspect banged his head on the partition in the officer’s car; and at the jail the suspect refused to comply with booking procedures. The suspect was eventually booked for Minor in Consumption, Disorderly Conduct, and Trespassing.
