HOMEMADE BOMB

A resident on 152nd Ave. reported that she was awakened in the middle of the night by three loud bangs or explosions outside her house. She got up, went to the front door and smelled sulfur. Later that morning, she found three exploded plastic pop bottles near her sliding glass window. There was no damage to her property and she didn’t know who would do that to her.

The bottles appeared to have been filled with muriatic acid and aluminum foil, as seen on YouTube.

Sumner Police Chief John Galle warns pranksters that muriatic acid could be deadly if handled. It’s corrosive and harmful to the skin. Residents who see, smell or hear pranks of that nature should call 9-11 immediately.

INTOXICATED MINOR

Officers responded to a report of suspicious people in a Ford Taurus in the parking lot on 5907 Parker Rd E.

The car was parked in front of an apartment. The drivers’ side door was open and there was a large pool of vomit on the ground. There was also a large pool of vomit on the passenger side. The 17 year-old man got out of the car and said he had been given something to drink by his uncle that made him sick. He said he didn’t think it was alcohol and that he was feeling better after throwing up.

The teen had attended his cousin’s 20th birthday party and that his cousin was in the passenger seat. He was very drunk.

Police cited the cousin for drinking underage and the two young men called an adult to pick them up.

PRESCRIPTION FORGERY

Officers were dispatched to the Fred Meyer pharmacy for a report of a prescription forgery in progress. The pharmacist said a man came in earlier that day with a prescription for Oxycodone from Sound Family Medicine in Bonney Lake. There was no state seal on the prescription pad, which alerted the pharmacist. When the man left, the pharmacist called police.

When the 36 year-old man returned to pick up his prescription in the drive thru, police met him in the parking lot.

A woman drove the man to the pharmacy and he said she had no idea what was going on.

He told police that he made the prescription on his home computer and that he had been taking it for a few years, but his doctor wouldn’t give him any more because he thought it was affecting his mental faculties. The man was arrested and booked for prescription forgery.
