Sumner Police: Juvenile Makes Threats with Knife

The following information from Sept. 20 to Sept. 30 was provided by the Sumner Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 20, 2013

Juveniles, Drugs and Alcohol: Police arrested one minor for possession of alcohol and minor furnishing alcohol and another for minor in consumption/possession and being intoxicated in a public place, trespassed two more minors from the Sumner sports complex for using marijuana in the park, and cited a fifth for being intoxicated in a public place after witnessing their activity via security cameras at the park.

Stolen Vehicle Recovered: A citizen reported at 5 p.m. that their vehicle had been stolen from the Sumner train station. Bonney Lake Police reported at 7:40 p.m. the vehicle had been recovered in drivable condition at the Bonney Lake Park and Ride.

Domestic Incident: A man was to be cited for fourth-degree assault domestic violence for an incident in which his girlfriend had injured her wrist while reportedly hanging onto the side of his moving vehicle following an argument in the area of Main Street and Valley Avenue. The woman was observed to be very intoxicated when police arrived on scene.

Drug Habit Strains Family: Police responded to a home on the 4600 block of 154th Avenue Ct E at about 1:30 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute between brothers. One brother had reportedly pawned several items that did not belong to him but either belonged to their parents or to the other brother in order to support a drug habit. Officers also found methamphetamine on the accused brother

Juvenile Problem: Police were forwarding charges for having a dangerous weapon on school facilities, second-degree assault and harassment to Remann Hall for a juvenile that multiple witnesses reported had threatened them with a knife both on and off school property at Sumner High School. The juvenile reportedly was not allowed on school property but had been on campus on Sept. 30 when an initial report was made with police that he’d threatened a student.
