Sumner Police Reports: Man Found Screaming in Street, Residential Burglary and More
The following arrest information has been supplied by the Sumner Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
JUNE 30, 2012
- An officer responded to a residence on 75th St. Ct. E. for a report of a man screaming in the street. Police found him on his porch. He was drunk and said he was yelling because he was upset his neighbors filed a noise complaint. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and minor in possession of alcohol.
JULY 1, 2012
- Officers pulled over a couple driving on East Valley Highway for a suspected home burglary. A man called to report that he caught the two suspects prowling around his house, and they stole a knife and art easel from his property. The woman said that they were at the house because her boyfriend had to go to the bathroom. Police asked why they didnβt stop in to a nearby bar to use the facilities and the woman said they thought the home was vacant. The couple was arrested for residential burglary.

- Police arrested a man for burglary from Mor-Stor Storage on 64th St. E. A man cut the locks on several storage units and stole items from them. Police traced his path through a hole cut in the fence that led to an abandoned house next door. He piled up the items there and police staked out the building and waited for him to return. Police arrested him on the scene.
JULY 4, 2012
- A woman reported that her friend pushed her on the ground when they were hanging out near the river. She would not say where he went or who he was, but said that she wanted to report it before he did.
