Sumner Removes Rolled Semi-Truck off 24th Ave., Driver Booked for DUI

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Sumner Police used a tow vehicle to bring a semi-truck upright after the driver tipped the vehicle. The driver has been booked on suspicion of DUI.

Near the 24th Street freeway interchange in Sumner, traffic is stalled and police are attempting to upright a semi-truck after it tipped over earlier this morning.

The driver of the vehicle attempted to make the curve from 24th Street to 142nd Avenue in Sumner when the vehicle tipped over. It had traveled only one mile before tipping, and Sumner Police have booked the driver on suspicion of DUI.

The company that owns the truck has been offloading the cargo of chocolate wine; the semi-truck is brand new.
