Three Injured in Three-Car Collision on SR 410

The crash occurred in the 26300 block of State Route 410 East between Bonney Lake and Buckley just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Three people were transported to area hospitals Tuesday morning after a three-vehicle crash, according to East Pierce Fire and Rescue.

The crash happened in the 26300 block of State Route 410 East between Bonney Lake and Buckley just before 8 a.m., closing the roadway in both directions for an hour.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” and other technical rescue tools to remove a driver from one of the vehicles.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a westbound vehicle traveling that had slowed to make a left turn onto 262nd Avenue East was hit from behind, pushing it into the path of a vehicle heading eastbound on SR 410.

“Despite the severity of the crash, none of the patients suffered life-threatening injuries,” says East Pierce Battalion Chief Rick Goetz.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
