Bonney Lake Judge Surrenders License to Puyallup Towing Business

Municipal Judge Ron Heslop owns both Puyallup Towing and Engle's Towing but has agreed to surrender the former's license while the latter business in Bonney Lake remains under state scrutiny.

Bonney Lake Municipal Judge Ron Heslop has reportedly agreed to surrender the license of his Puyallup Towing business while the Department of Licensing continues to watch his actions over his other Engle's Towing business in Bonney Lake.

According to the latest Get Jesse segment Thursday, reporter Jesse Jones said Heslop's two businesses have drawn the DOL's attention several times, having been accused of actions where penalties have totaled more than $20,000.

Engle's Towing in Bonney Lake remains in business though it cannot have any new violations or that license will be revoked as well, a DOL official told Jones.Β

In 2012, Jones reported that Heslop was under investigation by the Washington State Patrol for allegations he was offering low-cost legal services for property owners who used his towing company.Β

At present, the WSP has suspended both companies from its towing rotation for 90 days, ending September 2, Jones reported.
