Bonney Lake and Sumner Roads Open, Sanded

Crews were out on the roads throughout the night clearing snow for this morning's commute.

Patch talked to Bonney Lake City Administrator Don Morrison about road closures in Bonney Lake.

“We have had snowplow crews out most of the night,” said Morrison in an email. “Our main roads and intersections have been plowed and sanded. Of course, drivers need to use common sense and caution.”

Carmen Palmer from the City of Sumner said that the Senior Center was closed today, but that was it.

"The big thing with colder weather coming is to remind people to take steps to keep their pipes from freezing," said Palmer. "And, if they do freeze, it's important for them to call us to shut off the water at the main. Call 253-299-5740. It's no cost
and can save owners thousands of dollars of damage.  Many try to do it themselves and end up breaking the meter."

The snow situation will be monitored throughout the day and we’ll alert you if there are any new updates.
