Bonney Lake to Discuss Eastown Sewer Agreement in Workshop

An agreement to provide sewers to Eastown residents is finally headed to a vote in Bonney Lake.

Sewers will be the topic again at the Bonney Lake City Council workshop, tonight at 5:30 p.m. in the Justice Center.

The Eastown sewer pact is closer than ever to finalizing. Tonight the council will discuss the utility latecomers agreement and schedule a public hearing for next week. A report in The Tacoma News Tribune predicts a decision later this month.

The agreement calls for Eastown landowners -- those with property from 214th Ave. E. to 234th Ave. E. -- to pay roughly $200,000 of the estimated $4 million construction costs.
