Donate to Hearts for Hygiene

The Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Institute is collecting toiletries for the Sumner Food Bank.

The city of Sumner reported in last week's e-newsletter edition of Community Connections that the Puyallup/Sumner Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Institute is collecting toiletries for the Sumner Food Bank. 

Such basic needs are usually not covered by food stamps. The Institute's Sumner student, Sgt. Matt Kurle, was to put out a collection box in the lobby of City Hall. 

Items needed include:

  • Toilet paper
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Razors
  • Diapers, any size
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Laundry detergent
  • Tampons/pads

The city is also continuing to collect peanut butter and has boxes in the City Hall lobby marked for both peanut butter and for toiletries.
