Flood Watch Issued for Puyallup River Near Orting

The Puyallup River could flood near Orting, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Puyallup River, near Orting. The warning is in effect now through Thursday morning.

Some areas along the upper Puyallup River will be affected, including the Neadham Road vicinity, Orville Road E. and areas south of Brooks Rd. E. and north of Electron Rd. The country subdivision near the Tomolla Tree Farm could also be affected.

The river is expected to rise above flood flow around 6 p.m. this evening and will crest around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. It should fall below flood flow level that evening.
