Free Admission to Mount Rainier National Park, April 22-26

The National Park Service and National Park Foundation will be waiving entrance fees for park visitors as part of the National Park Week 2013.

From April 20 through 28, the National Park Service and National Park Foundation are inviting Bonney Lake and Sumner residents to celebrate National Park Week 2013.   

As part of the festivities, all national parks, including Mount Rainier, will be waiving their entrance fee from Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26.

According to park officials, this year’s theme, “Did you know…” is the perfect opportunity for Americans to learn amazing and unique things about their 401 national parks.

“From bike tours and concerts to whale-watching and living history encampments, a full schedule of National Park Week events offers something for everyone,” said National Park Service Director Jonathan B. Jarvis. “Whether you want to learn, relax, have fun, exercise, watch wildlife, or be inspired – there’s a park for you.”

The National Park Foundation is also giving away a National Park Week Getaway. The lucky winner will receive airfare, hotel stays, transportation and VIP access to some of the most spectacular national parks including Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and Grand Teton. Click here to enter.
