THIS CAMPAIGN:

What is the primary reason you are running for this office? Out of respect for the citizens of our city that don’t have time to figure out what is being done to them without their knowledge. I believe in keeping all citizens that are on my list or want to be added to my list notified of what is happening so that they can speak out or keep silent. Knowledge is what is powerful in any respect but most of all in city government. There are no checks and balances in this city since 2006! I hope to see more in the next four years.

What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why? Why not pass an $8M dollar bond for a Community Center. Owned by the city and the citizens much like the Kent Commons. The YMCA in Sumner will do its job while we work toward the Community Center concept.

Let’s take care of what we have instead of bringing more into the city. Finishing Eastown and perhaps getting an industrial port concept in that area would create jobs and help to support the city with taxes.

Working together with eco-friendly solar city lights, wind energy where we find it can eliminate high electrical bills for city properties. The south side needs pocket parks and more dog parks. Less parking and more rain garden type areas within the shopping areas. We are a tree city, let us all work toward a green city.

As your council person in Position 7, I will be willing to listen and keep each of you informed on items that are happening in our city as I find out about them. I do that now with a group of citizens.

What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders? Have been involved with the city since 1994; continue to keep myself updated on the commissions and boards as well as the Council and Mayor. Listen to the taped meetings. Keep the citizens informed whenever something is happening and will continue to do that if elected.

How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election? Less than my opponent

Official endorsements:
A group of Bonney Lake Citizens and business owners that are in Bonney Lake. I have denied any endorsement from political parties that do not live in this city--they are not voters and I want the voters to put me in office.
