Bonney Lake and Sumner voters have until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6 to turn in their ballots that will help pare down candidates in two local races before the general election in November: mayor of Bonney Lake and Sumner city council position No. 1.

Three candidates are vying for the position of Bonney Lake mayor including incumbent Neil Johnson, current City Councilman Jim Rackley and Mike Munson.

Four candidates are listed for the position of Sumner City Council Position No. 1 currently held by incumbent Ed Hannus. He is challenged by three others: Melony Pederson, Jody Wilkins and Earle Stuard.

View information about each candidate at the Pierce County Elections online voters guide. Sumner citizen Katharine Rode also helps voters along by sharing responses she received from three of the four candidates in Sumner.
