Puyallup River Bridge to Undergo Routine Inspection this Weekend

Because of the narrow width of the bridge, crews will close the bridge to all traffic from 6 a.m. to noon on both Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12-13.

PUYALLUP – A regularly-scheduled bridge inspection will occur this weekend on the northbound State Route 167 Puyallup River Bridge in Puyallup.

Because of the narrow width of the bridge, crews will close the bridge to all traffic from 6 a.m. to noon on both Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12-13. SR 167 traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and both directions of traffic will be routed over the parallel southbound bridge.

Crews will access areas under the bridge deck using an “Under-Bridge Inspection Truck” with a specialized arm that reaches around the bridge railing and below the deck.
