Sumner's Financial Director Beth Ann Wroe has tendered her resignation and will vacate her position at the end of the month.

Sumner's Financial Director has resigned, city officials confirmed Monday.

Beth Ann Wroe, who was hired by the City of Sumner in 2007, has accepted a new position with the City of Issaquah, where former city administrator Diane Supler also works.

Media spokeswoman Carmen Palmer told Patch that Wroe will leave Sumner at the end of the month but she would not discuss details of the seperation.

"I haven't worked with her yet on what she wants to say publicly," Palmer said.

Currently, the city council is in the middle of planning its biennial budget, which has not yet been finalized. There is no word yet on how Wroe's resignation will affect the final budget, but she has been working on it closely with City Administrator John Galle.
