Football: Lynden too much for Sumner

The Sumner Spartans' football season ended in the state quarterfinals Saturday night.....

Sumner, WA- The Sumner Spartans' football season ended in the state quarterfinals Saturday night, as Lynden came out firing, putting up 42 first half points. That's all the Lions would need as they beat Sumner, 42-7.

Lynden quarterback Josh Kraght threw 5 touchdown passes, 3 to Jalani Phelps (6,16,17) and 2 to Zach Vis (7,15). Kraght also scrambled 10 yards for a touchdown run. Lynden took a 42-0 lead into the break.

Sumner's Lokahi Kamau rattled off a 23 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter, giving the Spartans their only score of the game.
