In the 47th minute against Archbishop Murphy, Sumner got on the board with an Alyssa Murray score, and that's all the Spartans would need to move on in the 2A state tournament. Goalkeeper Jaimie Lange recorded the shutout for the Spartans.

Bonney Lake's season ended Saturday, as the Panthers fell to Liberty, 3-1 in the state quarterfinals. Kiana Hafferty led Liberty with two goals. Bonney Lake's Andrea Bowman picked up the lone goal for the Panthers.

As a former goalkeeper for the lady Sparts, I am incredibly proud of the team. My senior year was the first year in team history to make it to the playoffs. Sadly we were knocked out in the first round, but boy what a trip!!! WTG Ladies! Good luck to you all.
