PHOTOGALLERY: BLHS Sends 7 Wrestlers to State Competiton

Bonney Lake High School dominated their home turf this weekend at the Regional Wrestling Tournament, sending a total of 7 athletes to state competition and placing fourth overall.

The Bonney Lake High School wrestling team saw success on their home turf at last weekend's regional tournament. The team will send 7 athletes to state competition and the team placed fourth overall.

The Regional Wrestling Tournament for Class 3A, Region III was held at Bonney Lake High School on Sat., Feb. 11. 20 teams from around the region competed for points to bring them to the state level -- BLHS placed fourth with an overall score of 137.5. Enumclaw High School took home the first place spot with an overall score of 206.5.

The Panther Wrestling Squad will send 7 wrestlers to the Tacoma Dome this upcoming weekend to compete at the State Wrestling Tournament.

Mat Classic XXIV will be held Friday, Feb. 17 and Sat., Feb. 18 at the Tacoma Dome. Doors open to the public both days at 8:45 a.m. and the tournament will end about 9:30 p.m. both evenings.
