Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Takes Home First Place Trophy, Top Scores

The Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team took home a first place trophy from this weekend's Kentridge High School Dance/Drill Invitational and earned their highest score ever.

At Saturday's Dance/Drill Invitational at Kentridge High School, the Bonney Lake-Sumner Drill Team stole the show.

By the end of the day, the girls had earned a score of 250 in the Military Pom category, snagging the first place spot with the highest score in the team's history.

The team earned the fourth-highest score of the day, out of 51 other performances.

But, the victory didn't come without hiccups.

On Friday evening, the girls learned that three of their comrades were out sick, so the coaches changed the lineup less than 24 hours before the show. They learned the 'fixes' on Saturday morning, just hours before the performance. The team adjusted, concentrated and took home the prize.
